Samsung has just unveiled its latest flagship Android tablets: the Galaxy Tab S9, S9 Plus, and S9 Ultra. These new devices are the successors of the Tab S8 series that launched in 2022, and they offer similar designs and features. However, they also have some improvements and upgrades that make them more appealing and competitive in the tablet market.

One of the main enhancements is the use of OLED screens across the entire Tab S9 lineup, which provide better contrast, colours, and brightness than LCD screens. The OLED screens also support a 120Hz refresh rate, which enables smoother scrolling, gaming, and drawing with the included S Pen.

What’s new on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5

Photo: Samsung

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 is the latest flagship foldable phone from the Korean tech giant. It retains many of the Z Fold4's features, but also brings some significant improvements to the form factor. One of the primary upgrades is the new hinge. It features a teardrop shape that allows the phone to close flat without a gap. This makes the phone thinner and lighter than its predecessor, as well as more durable.

The hinge also has a double-rail mechanism that can absorb shocks better. The Z Fold5’s screens are also protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2. It has a 7.6-inch main screen that now achieves a higher peak brightness of 1750 nits (matching the Galaxy S23 series).

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 has two major improvements over the Z Flip4: the Flex Hinge and the Flex Window. The Flex Hinge allows the phone to close flat, making it thinner and more durable. It gets rid of that small gap that was still visible in its predecessor.

The new Flex Window is 3.78 times larger than the display on the Z Flip4, enabling more functionality and convenience without unfolding the device. It gives you a 3.4-inch display outside that lets you interact with widgets, access Samsung Wallet, and use the rear cameras for selfies.

Leaked images show PlayStation’s new handheld Project Q device

Photo: Sony

PlayStation has been developing a gaming handheld accessory for the PS5, codenamed Project Q, but details have been scarce since its first reveal. However, new images and a video of the device surfaced online over the weekend, revealing more about its operating system.

The leaks, which were posted on Reddit, Imgur, and Twitter by user Zuby_Tech, show that Project Q is running on the Android operating system. The OS looks very basic and probably not the final version for the handheld.

The images also give us a glimpse of Project Q’s internal components. According to the initial announcement, the device consists of an 8-inch tablet flanked by DualSense Controllers. The most notable feature of the leaked images is that the controllers are not detachable from the tablet. But like with any other leak, we always have to take them with a grain of salt.
