Samsung reportedly delays XR headset launch after seeing Apple Vision Pro

Samsung has postponed its new Extended Reality (XR) headset launch by 3-6 months due to the Apple Vision Pro, a rival product, SBS Biz reports. The Korean publication says Samsung wanted to start mass production of its XR headset in early 2024 but changed its mind after seeing the Apple Vision Pro’s specs. Samsung is supposedly reviewing its XR headset’s specs and design.

Apple, on the other hand, is also struggling with production problems for its Vision Pro. The company has reduced its sales target and will sell the device by appointment only.

Meta's Threads welcomes Google, YouTube, and other official accounts

Meta’s Threads is considered a hit, with 70 million sign-ups in two days. It also attracted Google and its divisions/companies to join the social network. Some of the early adopters include Google for Developers (@googlefordevs), Google Workspace (@googleworkspace), and Google DeepMind (@deepmind), as well as YouTube (@YouTube), which has already posted on Threads. Google (@google), with millions of followers on Instagram and Twitter, made its debut on Friday morning with a “Hey” and a Chrome Dino post. It also reminded users how to access the offline game on Chrome widgets for Android, iOS, and desktop: chrome://dino.

Google Pixel (@googlepixel) also joined today, and more accounts, like Android, are expected to follow. Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai (@sundarpichai) is also on the platform. Besides promoting their products and news, will Google and YouTube use Threads for customer support? That remains to be seen. But social support is a key feature of modern social networks and something Twitter was typically used for.

Leak reveals new dark blue colour and titanium material for iPhone 15 Pro models

The iPhone 15 Pro models, which are expected to be introduced in September, will supposedly come in a unique dark blue colour with a gray tone. This info was leaked by Unknownz21, a source that has provided accurate information on Apple devices. The blue colour will supposedly be made of a new titanium material that has a brushed finish and is different from the stainless steel that Apple has used before.

This new shade would reportedly be similar to the one that Apple used for the iPhone 12 Pro models, but darker and with more gray. The blue shade is expected to accompany silver, space gray/space black, and titanium gray shades, with the latter colour a lighter silver-gray than the space gray/space black shade.
