Mozilla halts development of Firefox for Windows 8

If you have been anticipating a full version of Firefox for Windows 8, then you’re in for a disappointment. Mozilla has cancelled the project citing the lack of testers. They didn’t want to ship a completed version without proper test of the release. The pre-release code is still available though. And Mozilla isn’t ruling out the possibility of working on it in the future.

Sega’s ‘Crazy Taxi’ sequel for mobile tipped to launch first in Canada and Australia

Sega is unveiling the first made-for-mobile sequel of the arcade classic Crazy Taxi called Crazy Taxi: City Rush. And the game will be free on both Android and iOS platforms. Game play will mostly require players to swipe side to side to avoid traffic and navigate around the other cars. It will also have a more cartoon-ish look to it and feature music from unidentified indie bands. The game will reportedly make its debut this month in Canada and Australia before the global release later this year.

Windows Phone 8.1 to reportedly add removable USB flash drive support

New reports have surfaced that the next Windows Phone update will include USB flash drive support to help ease file transfer process. Ubergizmo reports Windows Phone 8.1 will support both removable USB flash drives and USB HID class accessories (such as keyboards, mice, and game controllers). USB flash drive support means you might need a microUSB adapter for USB flash drives or microUSB flash drive from the likes of Sony. Microsoft’s BUILD conference is happening in a few weeks so hopefully we can learn more about this.
