Waze for Android and iOS gets calendar integration

Google’s “social GPS” app Waze has received an update to support for navigation to destinations indicated in calendar entries. The app will only show two events at a time though so you wouldn’t feel overwhelmed.

If you prefer not to activate the feature, you can disable it on your Android device from the app’s settings menu or from the phone settings on your iOS device. There is no word yet on when it’s coming to Windows Phone, though.

Rogers to launch the LG G Flex this Spring

Phone manufacturers are realizing that they need to evolve and innovate their device designs in order to stand-out, or you know, sell them. Specs just aren't enough anymore. Such is the case with the LG G Flex, the new wunderkind of LG, and soon to be flagship. Initially leaked online, then shown off in the flesh at last months CES2014 conference in Las Vegas, the G Flex is the first device to hit the market with a curved screen "designed to follow the curve of the human face". The LTE-enabled G Flex features a 6-inch 720p OLED display, runs an out-dated Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, sports a 2.26GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, a 13MP camera and a 2.1MP front-facing camera, plus a curved 3,500 mAh battery.

One more thing, the G Flex will come to Canada as a Rogers exclusive, as the title suggests. Pricing and official availability are yet to be known, but you can go and reserve it through Rogers here.

Is the Fleksy SDK keyboard headed to iOS?

It looks like iOS users who are looking for an alternative to the stock keyboard can look forward to Fleksy SDK. Fleksy for iOS looks like a way to customize the look of the iPhone's keyboard to complement iOS 7's many hues as well as the iPhone 5c's colourful polycarbonate shells. Fleksy SDK seems geared to developers who want to spice up their apps.

There doesn't seem to be any advanced predictive text or Swype-like functionality which isn't surprising, it is unlikely that Apple will open this aspect of the OS to a third party developer. From what we see from the above leaked photo and from Fleksy's own website is that this is a way to get larger keys and a neat way to skin your keyboard, if you're into that sort of thing.
