Hong Kong: After 15-hours of travel, I stepped off the plane in Hong Kong today in a surreal daze. This would mark both my first time in Hong Kong and my first time attending a Jam developer session. Godspeed, let's do this.

As I meandered over to the Asia World Expo (where the event is taking place), I couldn't help but notice the smiles and positive energy emanating from each and every person wearing a lanyard.

Roku introduces new players, brings Roku 3 to Canada

Roku Canada is bringing in three new players to better your family’s viewing experience. Among them is the flagship Roku 3 ($109.99) player equipped with dual-band wireless, Ethernet and USB ports, and upgraded remote with motion-control for gaming and a built-in headphone jack. The Roku 2 ($89.99) also has the dual-band wireless and remote with headphone jack, while the Roku 1 ($69.99) comes with 1080p HD video support.

The Roku 3 is already available on Roku’s site and retail stores but you’d have to wait a bit for the Roku 1 and 2 for their October release.

It was bound to happen sooner or later. Samsung is one of the first smartphone makers to follow in Apple's gold iPhone 5s' footsteps with a gold Galaxy S4 which it says is "a style that's uniquely yours." Will the gold rush continue with other handset makers, we're willing to bet it will. Not just smartphones either, expect to see some gold tablets and even ultrabooks coming soon. Gold, it seems, is the new Bondi Blue.

Twitter rolling out personalized recommendation feature

Twitter wants to make your use of the social network “more personally relevant” with a new discovery feature that recommends Twitter handles you should be following and tweets you should know about. The new tool took inspiration from an experimental account called @MagicRecs, which examines Twitter users’s network and sends out occasional recommendations of accounts to follow via direct message. Mobile Twitter users, particularly Android and iOS users, will get recommendations through push notification.
