Amazon is reportedly working on a 'Tomb Raider' TV show & film

Graphic: Amazon

Amazon Studios' latest venture into the video game adaptation space involves Fleabag star Phoebe Waller-Bridge and the Tomb Raider franchise. The studio is reportedly working on a television show based on the game, with Waller-Bridge serving as writer and executive producer. She isn't expected to star in it, though.

And recent rumours claim Amazon Studios is also working on a movie adaptation. However, we aren't sure if Waller-Bridge is attached to this project, too. This isn't the only video game adaptation Amazon is working on. The studio announced in December that a God of War TV show is in the works. And within the Tomb Raider universe, Amazon will publish the next game from Cyrstal Dynamics. The company hasn't responded to comments about these reports yet. We should hear more about it if and when things become official.

'The Last of Us' gets greenlit for a 2nd season

Screenshot: HBO

The TV adaptation of the popular game series The Last of Us has been confirmed for a second season. Co-creator (and writer of the games) Neil Druckmann thanked the cast and crew behind the show alongside the viewers who've engaged with it so far. "I’m humbled, honoured, and frankly overwhelmed that so many people have tuned in and connected with our retelling of Joel and Ellie’s journey," he said in a statement.

Since the first season is still ongoing, we can expect a bit of a wait. But at least if you've gotten hooked so far, you can expect another season of the show. The Last of Us stars Pedro Pascal (The Mandalorian) as Joel Miller and Bella Ramsey (Game of Thrones) as Ellie. Joel needs to escort Ellie across mid-America to a military resistance group called the Fireflies. She's seen as the last hope for humans as a fungal-based infection has ravaged the planet and turned humans into zombie-like creatures.

What we know about Netflix's password-sharing crackdown

Netflix began testing its password crackdown last year. That entailed the service charging extra for those who shared their accounts with people outside of their households. Now, Netflix has plans to release this widely as an official feature or condition for the service. The streaming service hasn't shared the complete details for this feature. But the company is looking for ways to "monetize account sharing" after it recorded its deepest subscriber loss in a decade.

We don't know yet how much it'll cost when Netflix brings it here. But it has varied in the countries where Netflix was testing the option. The service will start rolling out the account-sharing fees before the end of March, with a full, global rollout in the next couple of quarters. The rollout will be progressive across markets. Netflix doesn't plan to start charging everyone globally at the same time. Instead, it'll start in a few places and go from there.

Google Chrome on Android lets you lock Incognito tabs behind biometric authentication

Source: Google

With this new feature rolling out on Android, you can hide what you browse privately in Incognito mode. Google is bringing the option to lock your Chrome Incognito sessions behind biometric authentication. So, if someone's using your phone, they can't see what you browse privately. (Of course, they can see the tabs you have in the regular Chrome browser.)

When you have the feature enabled, you must verify your identity through face unlock or fingerprint every time you want to return to an Incognito tab after exiting Chrome or moving to another app. Google first started testing the feature on iOS. You can check if it's available on your Android device by heading into Settings Privacy and Security > Lock Incognito tabs when you leave Chrome
