Always one for unconventional product design and moves, Nintendo expected to launch a new 2DS handheld on October 12th. This dual-screen and dual-camera console will play all exisiting 3DS games but without the 3D element and it will ship with a 4GB SD Card. Geared towards younger users, the 2DS has an unusual non-clamshell form factor.

Today Google announced that a companion app for their Chromecast dongle would launch on iOS, making it easier for users to connect, manage and use the streaming service. The app can be used to pair a new Chromecast with a nearby Wi-Fi network, as well as change the name assigned to the device and the network it connects to by default.

Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at 9:58AM In case you haven't heard, the Art Gallery of Ontario will be kicking off the Fall with a groundbreaking exhibit focused on musical icon and style innovator David Bowie. Toronto will be the sole Canadian host of the "David Bowie Is" proposed six-city international tour of the highly anticipated show. The show will feature 300 objects from Bowie’s personal archives as well as immersive video and sound that was created with Sennheiser's expertise. The exhibit covers 50 years of Bowie's career and opens Sept. 25 and runs through Nov. 27.
