Ubisoft to help Stadia users transfer their purchases to PC

Source: Ubisoft

As Stadia shuts down, studios like Ubisoft are hoping to help abandoned Stadia users a way to access the games they've bought on the streaming service. Ubisoft announced it would help those who bought its titles on Stadia a way to transfer their purchases to the PC via Ubisoft Connect. The developer hasn't shared when it will offer Stadia players this option. We also don't know if the transferred games will include saved data.

As Engadget pointed out, the Ubisoft+ subscription service includes a cloud save feature, so perhaps it can figure out a way to maintain players' progress if they switch to the PC. Of course, the gesture is appreciated. However, those without capable PCs might not be able to take advantage of the offer.

Amazon Echo Dot gets smarter, improved bass

Source: Amazon

Like the Amazon Echo Studio, there isn't much change design-wise with the Amazon Echo Dot. But the company has souped up the internals of both the Echo Dot and Echo Dot with Clock. Both get a redesigned audio architecture that promises two times the bass of the previous model. These Alexa-powered smart speakers now use Amazon's AZ2 neural edge processor, which allows these speakers to do actions locally.

The Echo Dots also have a new temperature sensor, tap gesture controls, and work as Wi-Fi extenders for an Eero Mesh system. The Echo Dot with Clock has a new brighter LED dot display with a higher resolution for more dynamic, glanceable information. You can now get a scrolling view of song titles and artists when listening to music, checking the weather, calendar events, or calculations.

The Amazon Echo Dot comes in a new deep sea blue colour, while the Amazon Echo Dot with Clock has a new cloud blue option. The Echo Dot retails for $69.99, while the Echo Dot with Clock goes for $79.99. There are also new Echo Dot Kids with owl and dragon designs for $79.99.
