Twitter tests 'CoTweets' feature to let you collaborate on tweets

Source Twitter

Twitter recently began testing a new feature that will let two users co-author tweets. Select accounts in Canada, the US, and Korea can access the feature. Twitter is testing out CoTweets for a limited time with a few users to learn how they will use the feature.

To check if you have access to it, you'll see it appear in the tweet composer video via a pop-up. It'll invite you to "tweet together with CoTweets." If you ask someone to share ownership of a tweet with you, they can choose to accept and mark both of you as co-authors or decline your invitation. It's similar to a feature we see on Instagram. It'll be handy for brand deals or a collab promo between two users.

iPhone Music Recognition feature now syncs history with the Shazam app

You don't need to have the Shazam app installed on your iPhone for this new feature to work. Apple's Music Recognition feature in the iPhone Control Center can now sync with version 15.14 of the Shazam app. It can now also sync across devices using the same Apple ID. This option has begun rolling out to iPhones running on iOS 15. If you have this feature set up, you can press and hold on the Music Recognition button in the Control Center to see the songs you've "Shazam'd" on your phone.

Rogers services restored for most customers following Canada-wide outage

Source: Rogers

This morning, Rogers has sent out an update saying it has restored services for most of its customers. Its service outage on Friday shut down millions of people's banking, transport, and even government access. According to police across the country, there were issues with getting emergency services via 911 to work. Canadians who needed internet access crowded cafes and public libraries that still had connectivity. Canada's border services agency reported the outage also affected its mobile app for incoming travellers.

According to Rogers, its service is back online, and traffic volumes are returning to normal. However, it warns that there might still be a delay for full service. So, if you still aren't able to access certain services, this might be to blame.

Apple now sells matching MagSafe charging cable for M2 MacBook Air

Source: Apple

If you wanted to get a matching MagSafe charging cable for your M2 MacBook Air, Apple has started selling this option in the four colours the new laptop comes in. This 2m USB-C to MagSafe 3 cable retails for $59. This is just the cable, though. If you need the power adapter, you'll have to buy that separately. The cable is made with a woven design to improve durability.

As with past MagSafe cables, these accessories are designed to be strong enough to resist unintended disconnections. But if you or someone else trips on the cord, it should release while keeping your MacBook safe on the desk. It has an LED that turns amber when the battery is charging and green when it is fully charged.
