Apple has just released a new "Behind the Mac" campaign ad called "Made In Canada," featuring big names in the music industry that hail from the country. The 30-second clip features Shawn Mendes, Justin Bieber, Kaytranada, Jessie Reyez, Daniel Caesar, Orville Peck, and more. It shows these singers, songwriters, and other music industry pros using MacBooks.

Apple even launched a new webpage on its Canadian site for the campaign with a brief description of each talent included. The company also highlights the M1 chip and the Mac apps used by these professionals, including GarageBand and Adobe Photoshop.

Report: Redesigned iPad mini is coming in the fall

Photo by Chris Hardy on Unsplash

We're on track to see a new iPad mini this fall, at least according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman. In his latest Power On newsletter, he said that the new iPad mini "should be a go" for release this fall. Gurman said the design would be similar to the latest iPad Air along with the newest processor. It will be "the biggest redesign in the nine-year history" of the tablet.

According to Gurman, Apple is also working on a larger-screened iMac that's running on Apple Silicon. The "larger, redesigned iMac to replace the Intel 27-inch models is en route," according to Gurman, and it might come with a bigger display. It might run on an M1X or M2X processor.

Apple MacBook Pro models rumoured to get 1080p webcam

If this report is accurate, two Apple MacBook Pro models are getting upgraded 1080p webcams. Leaker Dylandkt tweeted that the 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pros will get "an updated, improved 1080p webcam" alongside the "entire Mac lineup." The first Mac to get a 1080p webcam is the 24-inch iMac.

MacRumors mentioned that Dylandkt had provided accurate information in the past. Back in November, the account shared that Apple will bring the M1 chip to the next-generation iPad, which we now see in the iPad Pro. And a few days before Apple's Spring Loaded event, the account posted that the new iMac will feature the M1 chip instead of the M1X chip.
