There is a rumour going around that Huawei is in early talks to sell its P and Mate series brands as it moves to exit the premium smartphone manufacturing business. Reuters reported that two unnamed sources with direct knowledge of the matter claim the Chinese company is in talks with a consortium of government-backed Shanghai investment firms. The report claims talks began in September, shortly before Huawei sold off its phone brand Honor.

But a spokesperson from Huawei denied the report saying in a statement: "Huawei has learned there are unsubstantiated rumours circulating regarding the possible sale of our flagship smartphone brands. There is no merit to these rumours whatsoever. Huawei has no such plan. We remain fully committed to our smartphone business, and will continue to deliver world-leading products and experiences for consumers around the world."

Apple Fitness+ lets you take a 'walk' with Shawn Mendes

Apple Fitness+ introduces new Time to Walk feature with Canadian pop star Shawn Mendes as one of the first guests (Source: Apple)

Maybe you go on your walks alone and want something different to listen to. Apple Fitness+ has a new Time to Walk audio program featuring celebrities like pop star Shawn Mendes, country legend Dolly Parton, actress Uzo Aduba, and NBA player Draymond Green as they go for walks in their neighbourhoods. It's an unscripted series launched on Monday, January 25, and will add more episodes on the same day every week until the end of April. The audio is playable through the Apple Watch, so all you need are AirPods or other Bluetooth headphones connected to them to listen to the stories.

The 25- to 40-minute episodes include anecdotes of life-shaping moments and memories, lessons learned, and other thought-provoking topics that might come up as they take walks. There will even be pictures appearing on the Watch to amplify certain moments that a guest shares. After they're done talking, the guests will introduce a short playlist of songs that inspire or motivate them, so you can continue your walk while listening to the specially-curated tracks.

Samsung Galaxy A82 is reportedly a 5G phone with a flip-up camera

Samsung Galaxy A80 with its flip-up camera (Source: Samsung)

If the rumours are true, Samsung might be trying the flip-up camera form factor for an upcoming smartphone again. Coming from the same Galaxy A series, the Galaxy A82 will supposedly resurrect the Galaxy A80's form factor into a 5G capable handset. With an alleged model designation of SM-A826B, not much is known about it outside of the 5G capability. We can't even confirm if Samsung will push through with this design.

Outside of some ASUS Zenfone models, this design isn't a popular choice for smartphone manufacturers. But the upside to this design is you get an uninterrupted screen, and you get higher quality selfies since you use your phone's primary shooter. Unfortunately, the Galaxy A82 is supposedly in its early development stages, so it might take a while before we hear about it again. But we're sure we'll hear more about this smartphone if and when it gets made.
