Android Auto is another feature getting spruced up. Its new AI update allows it to summarize long messages or conversations so you can stay focused on driving while staying in touch. It can also smartly recommend replies and actions based on the situation, such as offering to share your ETA when someone asks about your arrival time.

The popular Lens feature in Google Maps is getting a boost for users with visual impairments. It gets enhanced screen reader support, allowing you to point your phone's camera at nearby businesses and get information like their hours of operation, ratings, and even directions. All this info will be read aloud by your device's screen reader. This update makes navigating unfamiliar areas and finding essential services easier than ever for individuals who are blind or have low vision.

Google has announced a series of Android and app updates ahead of MWC, including a new feature that lets you chat with its own chatbot Gemini: right from Google Messages. You can start chatting with Gemini as soon as you update the Messages app this week, but you’ll need to join Google’s beta testing program first.
There’s no need for a Google One subscription for this version, unlike Gemini Advanced which offers more capabilities but requires a subscription. While Gemini is reported to be a bit of a disappointing chat partner, integrating the chatbot into your messaging app might make it seem more friendly. Gemini in Messages is currently only in English and in select markets.

Following earlier teasers, Samsung showcased the Galaxy Ring at MWC 2024, revealing its design and additional functionalities. This health and wellness-focused wearable will be available in platinum silver, gold, and ceramic black and is expected to launch later this year.
Samsung initially revealed a render of the Galaxy Ring at its Unpacked event last month, sparking comparisons to competitor Oura Ring. While specific sensor details remain undisclosed, the company confirmed its focus on well-being tracking.
