Google now sells Snap case for Nexus 5 on Play Store

Looking for a new case for your Nexus 5? Google has just started selling a Snap case on the Play Store. It doesn’t come as cheap though at $29.99 CDN plus shipping. The matte plastic case comes in five colours including Black, Aqua, Silver, White, and Clear. This protects the back and sides of the device. Google has also been selling for a while already a more robust $34.99 bumper case and a $49.99 QuickCover that protects the screen as well.

Intel Family Day showcased future technology to Canadian students and their parents

Intel took part in a recent George Brown College Digifest event to show parents and their children the future of technology and what tools and opportunities lie ahead of them. Intel partnered with MakerKids, Thalmic Labs, and Arduino to conduct the different activities. The Intel Family Day was held on May 10 at Corus Quay. Facebook opens mobile development program to all developers

Facebook just announced that its FbStart program is now open to all mobile developers and not just to f8 attendees. The program aims to help developers by giving access to free tools and services worth up to US$30,000. Mobile developers with apps that have been live for at least a month can apply to be part of FbStart. They also do not need to be integrated with Facebook to participate. Those chosen will get credits for Facebook and Parse and free tools and credits from partners such as Adobe, Desk.com, HootSuite, MailChimp, SurveyMonkey, etc.

Those who apply can choose between two tracks: Bootstrap and Accelerate. Bootstrap is for developers starting out and Accelerate is for those trying to grow and scale an app that already has initial traction. Facebook said they also plan to offer programs, events, and best practices for the participants and their will continually engage with the developers.
