Sony takes to Twitter to announce the Canadian launch of the Xperia Z Ultra

Although it will by no means be considered a 'flagship' device, Sony has taken to their Xperia Canada Twitter account to announce that the 6.4-inch screened "phablet"known as the Xperia Z Ultra will indeed launch in Canada next month.

Although no details on carrier, pricing or exact dates are known, one can assume - based on the image above alone - that it will launch in a variety of colors with Rogers (probably; we all know their affinity for all phones white) snatching up the white iteration.

Of course, the Xperia Z Ultra will have some stiff competion in the over-sized phone market (one that Samsung currently dominates), it's good to see competition rising.
