Rdio increases catalogue to over 18 million songs; adds new partners 

Rdio (www.rdio.com), the digital subscription music service started by the creators of Skype,  just announced two landmark deals with CD Baby and TuneCore, the largest aggregators of independent music, bringing Rdio’s catalogue to over 18 million songs.

Nokia Lumia 900 to get software update tomorrow

Nokia Lumia 900 owners on Rogers will be getting a surprise tomorrow in the form of a software update to the flagship Windows Phone. This isn't the promised Windows Phone 7.8 update that will bring some system-wide enhancements to all Lumia smartphones but a general Lumia 900 software update. Adobe to end Flash on Android today

The Adobe Flash plugin, once touted to offer "the full web experience" on mobile devices is officially terminated on Android devices starting today. Adobe hasn't been developing Flash for mobile devices and today it completely pulls out of the Android marketplace. Adobe made the announcement late last year by stating that, "HTML 5 is best solution for creating and deploying content in the browser across mobile platforms."

HP's Windows 8 tablets to feature unique technologies

HP is looking to get back in the tablet game in a big way. Its Windows 8 tablets, which should be available later this year.

"We will be very focused on the commercial tablet opportunity, which is completely under penetrated. And, we have some unique intellectual property that we're going to apply," HP's SVP of Americas sales for HP's printing and personal systems division, John Solomon told  VARS and technology integrator news website CRN.
