"iOS5 Developers Cookbook" from Pearson has been recalled

It has come to Pearson's attention that problems occurred during the production process of The iOS5 Developer’s Cookbook. The scope of the error was widespread and all print and eBook versions of the first printing were affected. Pearson has corrected these errors and the title has been updated. Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 goes on sale for $100 off in Canada

Samsung's Galaxy Tab 10.1 has gone on sale for $100 off the original price. This means that the base 16GB version of Samsung's slim Honeycomb tablet now costs $399 while the 32GB version costs $499. Both Future Shop and Best Buy are offering the tablets online and in stores. The Galaxy Tab is the latest tablet to go on sale in 2012, Sony's Tablet P as well as BlackBerry's PlayBook have also reduced their prices at the start of the year.

Wikipedia goes Dark to protest Web Piracy Bills

After completing its yearly call for donations, Wikipedia is once more calling attention to itself  by going offline for 24 hours but this time in the name of the ongoing legislation in the US that could damage the free and open Internet. The SOPA or Stop Online Piracy Act is seen by many as censorship which will alter the fundamental way the Internet works and has worked so far.

It will be interesting to see what their user's feedback on this move will be and if other websites and services of equal or greater importance will go into protest mode.
