Sony Canada previews Resistance 3 for PlayStation3

Sony turned the Fermentation cellar at the Distillery into a post-apocalyptic war zone

It has been a big news week for Sony, first there was the drop in the PlayStation3 price to $249, the announcement of the PSP E-1000 budget model and today they previewed one of their core titles, Resistance 3 is a first-person shooter which is the sequel to launch day title Resistance: Fall of Man and Resistance 2.

Sony outfitted the interior of the Fermetation Cellar into a dark, mysterious post apocalyptic wasteland with various HDTVs running 2D and 3D variants of the game. We tried  the 3D version briefly and noticed better effects, expanded variety of weaponry and had a blast wasting Chimeran scum. Resistance 3 comes to North America on September 6.

Apple's app stores for iOS and OS X have a promising array of educational and back-to-school related applications that maximize the use of their mobile devices. Rogers selling the LG Optimus Pad for $499, contract free

 

Rogers is selling the LG Optimus Pad WiFi + 3G 32GB for $499 contract free or $254.99 for a three year contract. This is a sweet deal for a 32GB Honeycomb tablet, specially one that is data capable. The LG Optimus Pad features a fast Tegra 2 dual core processor, 1GB of RAM and an 8.9-inch screen plus the ability to shoot 3D videos and 1080p HD videos.

Note: Interested buyers should call Rogers first  at (1888ROGERS1) because the Rogers Stores still list the device at $549.99 and won't adjust the price even if it is on the website for some reason.
