The deluge of $499 10"1 tablets continues with Acer's Iconia WiFi tablet on pre-order from Future Shop. The Iconia has the same specs as the Motorla XOOM but is slightly heavier and only features 1GB of memory (you can expand this yourself up to 32GB via a microSD card).

Sony, Sony Ericsson, and Rogers join together to launch a limited quantity of the Xperia PLAY and Xperia arc on April 27, 2011 at the Toronto Eaton Centre Sony Store located at 220 Yonge St starting at 10 am. These smartphones will be available in other retail stores across Canada on April 28, 2011.

HTC's much awaited 7" inch non-Honeycomb Android tablet, the pen-capable Flyer, is expected to be available for pre-order from Best Buy in the US on April 25th. Shipping is slated (see what I did there) for late spring release. Price is $499, much less than what we thought it would go for.
