'Star Wars' meets 'The Sims 4' in new game pack

Two big names in the gaming and entertainment spaces are joining forces. Star Wars is coming to The Sims 4 in a new The Sims 4 Star Wars: Journey to Batuu game back launching on September 8. As you see in the trailer, familiar Star Wars characters are getting a The Sims 4 treatment. And yes, you can decorate your home and socialize in Batuu. There will be missions to help advance the story set and unlock different collectibles for your Sim, where you can earn a lightsaber and droid of your own. Rey and Kylo Ren appear in the trailer, so we're hoping to see more memorable Star Wars characters in the game.

Star Wars: Journey to Batuu will be available for the Microsoft Xbox One, Sony PlayStation 4, and the PC through Steam or Origin.

Fitbit Sense advanced smartwatch monitors your stress levels, among other things

Fitbit's recent launch updated the Versa and Inspire lines with the Versa 3 and Inspire 2. But the star of the show is undoubtedly the Fitbit Sense. While it bears similarities with the Versa, it looks and feels more premium. And it comes with a higher price tag to prove that.

The Sense is a new smartwatch brand from Fitbit, marking the first significant watch update since the Versa was initially launched in 2018. At $429.95, the Sense is Fitbit's most expensive new device and most advanced smartwatch to date.

It offers an ECG that can spot abnormal changes in heart rate and stress and temperature sensing capabilities. You might have seen ECG on devices like the Apple Watch Series 4 and Samsung Galaxy Watch 3. But Fitbit hasn't gotten clearance yet to activate its ECG feature. It's reportedly coming soon, though. Forbes estimates around early 2021.

Fitbit includes the first Electrodermal Activity sensor on a smartwatch with the Sense. It's said to be at the forefront of stress level detection in this smartwatch. It monitors tiny electrical changes on your skin. So, if your palms start to get sweaty when you're nervous or anxious, the Sense can detect that.

'The Witcher' gets mobile AR game à la 'Pokémon Go'

While you won't be catching monsters with a Poké Ball, an upcoming The Witcher game offers a similar mechanic to the augmented reality-based game Pokémon Go. CD Projekt announced that its mobile game studio Spokko is developing The Witcher: Monster Slayer. The game will also use your location data for gameplay, requiring you to venture outside to find and fight creatures in AR.

Monster Slayer is set before Geralt's time, taking you on a journey towards becoming a Witcher. It has story-driven quests inspired by The Witcher series. And it offers a battle system you've seen in these AR walking games. You'll need to train your character, brew potions and oils, make bombs, and use the right equipment to defeat the monsters. Unfortunately, we don't know yet when the game is coming out, but you can sign up for updates on the game's website.
