Huawei and Leica tease P10 and P10 Plus ahead of MWC 2017

Mobile World Congress in Barcelona is almost upon us. Ahead of it brands are teasing what they plan to bring to the showroom floor. Without beating around the bush, Huawei and Leica both promote two new co-branded and co-engineered smartphones—the P10 and P10 Plus. The two brands originally collaborated on the P9 and P9 Plus. This was later carried on to the Mate 9. These phones feature dual-camera system with one of the sensors being used exclusively for black and white photography. Having the dual-camera setup also makes it possible to have a DSLR-like shallow depth of field effect on the phones. We should be hearing more about these devices in the next few days.

Twitch now lets you change usernames

An often requested feature on Twitch is finally here. The service now lets you change your username once every 60 days. All you need to do is head to your Profile Settings to enable the change. Once you abandon your old username, Twitch will hold on to it for a minimum of six months and they may opt to return this to the pool of available usernames. The only thing they won’t recycle is partner usernames, except, they say, under special circumstances. And they still won’t accept direct requests to take usernames of inactive accounts, though.

And for those worried about losing their streamer stats, Twitch advises players to export these before changing the username. And you will need to update any links to your channel page as the URL will change and it won’t redirect to the new one.

TCL launches latest BlackBerry smartphone called the KEYone

TCL, who now owns BlackBerry's IP, has launched the latest flagship device called the KEYone at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. A QWERTY keyboard and 4.5-inch multi-touch display.  The Android-powered KEYOne has a 3505 mAh battery with QuickCharge 3.0  technology and USB-C charging to allow a 50 per cent charge in up to 36 minutes. The device also features a 12MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera.

The KEYone features a hardened version of Android N, has a resilient metal frame and also boasts a battery that's good for two-days on a single charge. Fast charging is boosted by the system shutting off some functions to store up more power faster. This enterprise-focused device might just entice BlackBerry loyalists of old to consider shifting from whatever they moved on to.

The BlackBerry KEYone will be available globally beginning in April and will be priced at or under €599 EUR/£499 GBP/$549 USD (Canadian pricing and carrier availability to come later).
