Small remote-controlled quadcopter AERIUS Mini Drone can rest on your fingertip

Want a tiny remote-controlled quadcopter that can do tricks? The AERIUS Mini Drone is for you. At just 3cm x 3cm x 2cm, this small quadcopter can land right on your fingertip and even fit into its own controller. It can fly up to seven minutes off of a single 15-minute charge. It comes with preprogrammed flips and rolls that you activate with the press of a button. Flying at night is possible, too, with its built-in LED lights. It’s 18 percent off on Laughing Squid’s store and costs US$53 at the moment.

Apple outs second app for Android, the Beats Pill+ app

We might be seeing a trend here. Or at least Apple is slowly opening up to Google’s mobile operating system. This time around, Apple introduced its second app on Android for the new Beats Pill+ speaker. The app is pretty straightforward as it lets you control what’s on your playlist, check on the battery life, link two devices for that stereo sound effect, and name your speaker. It does make sense they offer this on Android as the speaker isn’t really iOS exclusive.

New Mini convertible expected to roll out in 2016

A third generation Mini Convertible is coming to soak up the sun in 2016. This will feature a fabric soft-top that takes 18 seconds to retract and is quieter and smoother than the previous versions. For safety, rollover protection bars pop-up when needed.

Other creature comforts include air-con, Bluetooth, rear parking sensors and a reversing camera are standard, along with a 6.5 inchdisplay screen. An even larger display with GPS is an option. Pick the ‘Mini Connected XL’ option and should drivers park the mini with the roof open, it can even text you automatically if rain’s expected. Now, that's just smart.
