Air Canada app gets new features to improve your travel experience

Air Canada has also recently improved its app to make flying with them more convenient. The app now allows you to:

  • Use mobile boarding passes that are easier to scan at security and boarding
  • Link your passport details to your Aeroplan profile for faster check-in
  • Navigate airports with integrated maps of Air Canada and Star Alliance hubs
  • Pre-order in-flight meals if your are flying in Air Canada Signature Class or Premium Economy on select international flights

The app is available for free through the Apple App Store or Google Play.

WhatsApp makes it easier to leave voice messages

WhatsApp has introduced a new feature that lets you send short video messages, similar to the voice messages you can already use. With video messages, you can record and send up to 60 seconds of video with just a tap. The videos will play automatically on mute when someone opens your chat. Unlike voice messages, which can be any length, video messages are meant to be quick and easy.

Air Canada partners with Mattel to offer exclusive kids’ shows on board

Air Canada introduced fresh new features to enhance its products and services. One of its newest changes comes about through a partnership with Mattel. The airline will be the only Canadian airline to offer shows like Barbie DreamtopiaThomas & Friends, and Polly Pocket for its young travellers. These shows and movies will add dozens of hours of fun and engaging kids’ content to Air Canada’s in-flight entertainment library. Air Canada is also working on adding more new content partners soon, so stay tuned for more exciting updates.

Samsung Galaxy Watch6 series: What’s new and what’s back

Samsung’s Galaxy Watch6 series brings back the physical rotating bezel on the Classic model, while the regular model has a touch-sensitive rim. Both watches have larger screens, bigger batteries and the same sensors as the Galaxy Watch5 series. They run on WearOS 4 with Samsung’s One UI 5 Watch, which offers better sleep tracking, heart rate zones, and SOS features. 

The Galaxy Watch6 Classic has a stainless steel body and a bezel that you can turn to navigate the menus and settings. The bezel was missing on the Galaxy Watch5, but fans loved it on the Galaxy Watch4 Classic. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Watch6 has an aluminum body and a touch-sensitive rim that mimics the bezel’s function. Both watches have two sizes: 40mm and 44mm for the Watch 6 and 43mm and 47mm for the Classic.
