Variety of new MSN-branded apps from Microsoft coming to iOS

A sign of a more open and magnanimous Microsoft under CEO Satya Nadella, various MSN branded apps are coming to iOS for the first time. These include  MSN News [Direct Link], MSN Sports [Direct Link], MSN Food & Drink [Direct Link], MSN Money [Direct Link] and MSN Health & Fitness [Direct Link]. Following the momentous release of MS Office for the iPad and for the iPhone, it's great to see some quality apps come from Redmond that were previously exclusive to Microsoft devices such as Windows Phone and Surface via Windows 8. These apps have also made their way to Android.

NDP Group: Microsoft's Xbox Ones finally sell more than Sony's PlayStation 4

Seems that heavy discounting and some popular bundles have helped Microsoft's Xbox One console overtake Sony's PlayStation 4 console for the first time since the two next gen consoles hit the market.  Microsoft has announced that Xbox One was the best selling console in November (thank you, Black Friday). Shuffler.fm brings Pause music magazine app to Android

Shuffler.fm is expanding the reach of its music magazine app to Android. The app gets a new look and a new media player. They are also accepting collaborations with third parties to allow them to create their own magazines that can be shared on the app. The company is exploring the idea of including other topics and interests outside of music on the app as well.

Study reveals more people are willing to trade mobile privacy for free apps

More and more Canadians are reportedly foregoing privacy concerns when it comes to their mobile apps in place of free apps, according to a new survey from Norton. Symantec researchers found that there are a large number of apps that collect and send personal information to app developers, and you might not know this is happening.
