Apple rolls out update for Dark Sky weather app

After acquiring Dark Sky last year, we finally get the second update for the weather app from Apple. It brings about some stability and performance improvements along with better VoiceOver support, the complications on the Apple Watch are updated more frequently, and a fix on a problem that could prevent the moon phase from updating.

Dark Sky's API was supposed to shut down for third-party use at the end of the year. But now, the app and its website will remain for another year. It gives those who use the hyperlocal weather app more time to look for an alternative if you aren't on Apple's ecosystem, that is.

Microsoft to end its expanded 'Cyberpunk 2077' refund policy on July 6

Microsoft joined other retailers in offering an expanded refund policy for Cyberpunk 2077 because of its buggy release in December. The company allowed those who bought the game from the Microsoft Store to get a full refund. But now, Microsoft plans to place the game under its standard digital refund policy beginning July 6. Zoom gets a dedicated text field to display your gender pronoun

Zoom is the latest service to make it easier to show your gender pronoun. Before this update, you had to manually edit your display name during a meeting or through your profile to show your pronoun. But some organizations won't allow members to edit their display names.

Now, pronouns get a dedicated text field in your profile, where you can input your pronoun and decide your sharing controls. You have the option to display your pronouns at every meeting or have Zoom ask you before every session. You can also opt-out of not displaying your pronoun at all. But it will remain visible to your Zoom contacts as part of your profile card on the platform.

Samsung to share what "reimagining smartwatches" is like at June 28 MWC virtual event

We know that Samsung and Google plan to merge Wear OS and Tizen, and now it looks like we might get a peek of what that will look like. Samsung is taking part in the upcoming Mobile World Congress via a virtual event on June 28 at 1:15 pm ET. According to the company's official MWC event page, Samsung is "reimagining smartwatches, creating new opportunities for both developers and consumers," suggesting we will get a look at what Samsung has planned next.

On top of talking about smartwatches, Samsung will also talk about the "Galaxy ecosystem" and "mobile security," which we aren't sure what they mean yet. But the Knox logo is seen in the invite, so that makes sense for the latter topic.
