Apple shrinks Apple TV+ free trial to 3 months starting July 1

Since Apple launched Apple TV+ in 2019, the company has offered a free one-year trial of the service with any iPhone, iPad, Mac, or Apple Watch purchase. But now, that promotion will come to an end on June 30. Afterwards, Apple shrinks the free trial to three months with eligible device purchases. So, if you want to get that one-year complimentary subscription, you have to purchase an Apple product before July 1.

Apple offered a generous free trial to help lure long-term subscribers into a new service. Apple TV+ doesn't have as expansive a library as the likes of Netflix and Disney+. But it looks like the company is now confident with what it offers that it's ready to shorten the trial period.

'Marvel's Avengers' to get 'War For Wakanda' expansion this August

Square Enix gave us the first proper look at a new Marvel character coming to Marvel's Avengers during its E3 Showcase. The King of Wakanda, a.k.a. the Black Panther, will join the game in a new War For Wakanda expansion. The trailer shows Black Panther defending Wakanda from Klaw, who has infiltrated his kingdom to steal Vibranium.

War For Wakanda is scheduled for an August release. It was initially supposed to launch earlier, but the release was reportedly pushed back due to the sudden passing of Chadwick Boseman. He played the superhero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. For those who own Marvel's Avengers, you'll get the expansion for free. It'll come to the PC, Playstation 4 and 5, and Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.

Ubisoft unveils new trailer for 'Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Extraction'

During the first day of E3 2021's virtual event, Ubisoft showed off its new Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six game. Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Extraction takes place within three different locations in North America. You're still battling against alien hosts called Archæans that continue to evolve in the containment zones. You're on a mission to combat these creatures while rescuing one of your own, thus the name of this game.

Its gameplay mechanics are similar to Rainbow Six Siege, and you can gain access to weapon and ability upgrades to confront the Archæans along the way. Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Extraction will launch on September 16, 2021, on the PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X/S, PC, and Google Stadia.
