Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 rumoured to be lighter, won't come with S Pen

Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 is expected to retain the same form factor as the Galaxy Fold

The Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 is reportedly in active development, so the rumour mill has started churning. One of the newest leaks shares some details about the upcoming foldable device. The mobile device will reportedly be nearly 15% lighter than its predecessor at 229 grams (the Galaxy Fold weighed in at 263g). It will retain its form factor but will have a slightly bigger screen. It won't be coming with an S Pen, so if that's important to you, you will need to take note of that development (pun unintended).

Apple's Premium Magic Keyboard case for iPad Pro now available for preorder

The innovative although pricey new Apple Magic Keyboard accessory, which brings a tilting carry case with a trackpad and backlit keyboard to the iPad Pro is available for pre order with units expected to ship late next week. One of the key peripherals for the new iPad Pro, the expensive keyboard starts at $399 for the 11-inch iPad Pro and costs $449 for the 12.9-inch model. Both are available in a variety of languages online at Apple's web store.

Apple reveals iPhone SE available for preorder on April 17 for $599

Apple has finally launched a replacement for the beloved iPhone SE. Looking like an iPhone 8 but with updated features including an Apple A13 processor, wireless charging, and water resistance features. Available in black, white, and red, the iPhone SE is Apple's most affordable smartphone starting at $599 for the 64GB versions (it is also available with 128GB and 256GB storage capacities). 

Many consumers who prefer smaller iPhones or who aren't keen on the design of the iPhone X-line of phones, or who miss the home button will be satisfied with what the iPhone SE delivers. That it can use various cases and accessories fromd devices going back to the iPhone 6, is an even better reason for many people to upgrade. Preorders for the new iPhone SE beging on April 17.

Shaw temporarily lays off 10% of its employees due to COVID-19

Calgary-based Shaw Communications announced on Tuesday that because of the COVID-19 pandemic, it'll temporarily lay off 10% of its workforce. The company said the layoffs will begin on Thursday, April 16, affecting fewer than 1,000 of its 10,000 employees. Most of the laid-off staff work in retail and sales roles. Shaw and Shaw-owned Freedom Mobile closed most of its retail stores to comply with government directives to help slow the spread of the virus.
