Freedom Mobile's calling, text, and data services available in all 75 TTC subway stations

BAI Canada, the TTC and Freedom Mobile  announced earlier that talk, text and data technology is now available at all 75 TTC subway stations and in all 9km of tunnel in the brand new Line 1 extension in Toronto.

Torontonians have spoken loudly and clearly - they not only want, but expect to be able to talk, text and use data wherever they are in the city. User manual shows unannounced Samsung Galaxy A8 and A8 Plus with dual front cameras

Looks like Samsung wants to take on the selfie-centric smartphones from its Chinese competitors. A user manual that’s been uploaded to Samsung’s website shows off two unannounced Galaxy A smartphones that are expected to make their debut at CES 2018. The phones are expected to be called the A8 and A8 Plus to replace the current A5 and A7 phones. The big focus of the new devices are its dual front-facing shooters with Live Focus. There isn’t any information at the moment about how many megapixels these cameras will have.

Some of the other things we can expect, at least according to the manual, include the display coming with an 18:9 aspect ratio and slim bezels, a new position for the fingerprint sensor below the rear camera, Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box, support for Android Pay and Bixby, USB Type-C port, and an audio jack.

Netflix renews ‘Marvel’s The Punisher’ for second season

Frank Castle lives to fight another day. Netflix just renewed Marvel’s The Punisher for season 2. The streaming service made the announcement on the show’s Facebook page with a post that says “Season 2 is coming.” Jon Berthal, who plays Castle, was particularly enthused to play the role initially. He told Variety, “Fully candid, being part of a superhero franchise was not something that I really had an ambition towards; it wasn’t really on my radar.” He got onboard when he played a part in Marvel’s Daredevil, which is one of the six Marvel shows we have on Netflix now. The other four being The Defenders, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage.

Instagram update lets you follow hashtags

Instagram has been steadily adding on more and more features these days. The latest addition is the ability to follow hashtags on the service like you would accounts. All you need to do is search for a topic that interests you and tap on the follow button. Relevant posts that have these tags will show up in both your feed and stories bar. You can also unfollow hashtags the same way. Your profile will now also show the hashtags you follow. If your account is set to private, then only your followers will see what hashtags you follow.
