iOS 8 adoption reportedly at 30% over the weekend

iOS 8's adoption hasn't been as huge as iOS 7 a year ago (50 %) but it is still quite impressive. Cumulative findings from analytics firms firms Fiksu, Mixpanel, Appsee, & Chitika are showing tht 30% of users have updated to iOS 8 in the past three days. iOS 8 is the most signifcant update to Apple's mobile operating system and that brings a lot of user interoperability with its Mac OS X desktop.

BlackBerry Passport expected to sell for $599 contract free in US

BlackBerry's new Passport smartphone, which we hope to see unveiled this Wednesday, will reportedly cost $599 off contract in the US. The Passport is BlackBerry's latest flagship device geared towards enterprise but has also roused a lot of interest from consumers who want a larger touch-screen device that also has a QWERTY keyboard. Apple announces new record of 10 million new iPhones sold in first 3 days

As expected, the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus opening weekend broke sales records for Apple. The company is saying that 10 million units were sold over the first three days that the new devices were offered.

"Sales for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus exceeded our expectations for the launch weekend, and we couldn't be happier," said Apple Chief Executive Tim Cook. "We would like to thank all of our customers for making this our best launch ever, shattering all previous sell-through records by a large margin. While our team managed the manufacturing ramp better than ever before, we could have sold many more iPhones with greater supply and we are working hard to fill orders as quickly as possible."
