BMW and Mini make it easy to record on-road adventures with your GoPro

BMW and Mini have made it easier to integrate your GoPro with your car. The action cam now works with BMW’s infotainment system. It lets you configure the camera, choose from the pre-set modes, and start and stop recordings right on the in-car system’s screen.

There are a few requirements though. It only works on 2012 or newer BMW and Mini models that come with BMW Apps or Mini Connected option. You can only use Wi-Fi-connected GoPro a.k.a. HERO3+ and you would need to connect to an iPhone 4 or later to the car via USB because this will be the only way to communicate with the entertainment suite using GoPro’s iOS app.

Twitter lets you embed tweets in iOS and Android apps

Twitter looks to be testing a new feature for its mobile apps—the ability to embed tweets within tweets. Yes, there is a certain Inception-like quality to it but we believe this is a way for you to share your thoughts about the tweet instead of “RT-ing” a certain tweet. All you need to do is drop the URL link of the tweet in your compose window and the embedded tweet will appear once you publish it.

Ridley Scott’s ‘Halo’ series to serve as prequel to ‘Halo 5: Guardians’

If you want to have more background information on the upcoming Halo 5: Guardians game, then you best check out Ridley Scott’s upcoming Halo-themed show called Nightfall. With Scott at the helm, it helps bring Microsoft’s game to full circle as the franchise has taken inspiration from Scott’s deep-space horror film, Alien. The origin story will revolve around Agent Locke, which 343 Industries head Bonnie Ross has said plays a pivotal role in the game. There is no word yet on how many episodes there would be but you will be able to catch five before the beta version comes out.
