Yahoo! shutting down Mail Classic this week

Starting tomorrow, June 3, Yahoo! is discontinuing its Mail Classic and at the same time forcing Mail users to accept the Communications Terms of Service and Privacy Policy of the new version that allows the company to scan your emails to “deliver product features, relevant advertising, and abuse protection.” 

While you can opt out of the targeted ads, you won’t be free from the scanning. Yahoo! says you can use a desktop email client but need to agree with their terms or ditch Yahoo! Mail altogether. You can read up about these changes over here.

The Apple Beat: WWDC 2013 Possibilities and Predictions

We're one week away from Apple's yearly World Wide Developer's Conference to be held in San Francisco's Moscone Centre (stay tuned for my live coverage here and on Twitter via @gadjosevilla) and the entire technology and mobile industry will no doubt be glued to the announcements as Apple CEO Tim Cook and Co. unveil the future of the iOS and Mac OS platforms. Microsoft updates Windows Phone app for Modern UI

While the Windows Phone desktop app for Windows 7 and 8 have been updated recently, the Modern UI version gets its own minor refresh as well. It now allows you to browse through your documents and sync these files with your phone with the use of the app. The app is available for free download on the Windows Store.

Twitter releases minor profile tweaks

Twitter is making it less of a hassle to update your profile both on the site and on its official mobile app. You can now change profile information inline and drag and drop pictures for your header, background and profile photos.
