Video: Lenovo's ThinkVision portable USB and WiFi multi-touch displays demoed

Lenovo Canada believes that two-screen PC setups are key for businesses and consumers so they've created new USB and and WiFi enabled portable monitors that also have multi-touch functionality and can be used with a stylus and serve as a second screen as well as a terminal to access PC's remotely.

Video: Demo of Lenovo Canada's ThinkCenter Horizon all-in-one Table PC

Here's a quick look at Lenovo's ThinkCenter Horizon Windows 8 27-inch PC which is coming to Canada this Summer. Being billed as a Gaming PC, the Horizon will have a variety of game titles including games from EA and Ubisoft and its own app store when it comes to market. Cost is expected to be $1700 upon launch.

RIM Receives Approval from Visa for NFC Mobile Payment Solution

Olympic triathlete Simon Whitfield made the first mobile credit card transaction using Rogers Suretap on a NFC-enabled BlackBerry smartphone.

Research In Motion announced that its Secure Element Manager (SEM) solution for NFC (Near Field Communication) mobile payments has been approved by Visa. RIM’s SEM is the backend solution for carriers that can securely manage credentials on SIM (subscriber identity module) cards installed in all types of NFC-capable mobile devices.
