Review: Nexus 4 Android smartphone

Since the first Google Phone came out in 2008, I’ve been extremely interested in the potential that Android could bring to the market place.  Now the dominant and fastest-growing mobile OS has a lot rooted into its Nexus devices which have traditionally broken new ground in terms of hardware specs and features.

Instagram faces class action lawsuit due to Terms of Service fiasco

By all accounts, Instagram has had a landmark year. Massive adoption throughout 2012 as Instagram boosted its user base by 1,100% since it was purchased in April for $1billion. Instagram has even recently surpassed popular microblogging service Twitter in terms of daily users. Twitter had 6.9 million daily users in August, while Instagram had 7.3 million. Yet, Instagram ends the year on a sour note with backlash resulting from their revised Terms of Service (which they reverted) and now a class action lawsuit from users.

Breaking: Netflix outage affects customers on Christmas Eve

Amazon Web Services, which is the cloud service infrastructure that powers Netflix is has gone down and is affecting certain devices and making it impossible for them to access the popular streaming service in certain areas. Big bummer for families and individuals whose Christmas Eve tradition involves watching some sort of Christmas related movie or show. People can keep posted by following updates on the @NetflixHelps Twitter feed.

Nokia rumored to be working on a Windows RT tablet

A Concept Nokia TabletIf Microsoft's Surface RT tablet does not float your boat, maybe Nokia's supposed take on the 10-inch Windows RT space might convert you. A new rumour suggests that Nokia's got a Windows RT tablet in the works and that it will bring a number of innovative features such as extra battery life from the keyboard cover and USB ports that serve as a kickstand. Nokia's not coonfirmed or denied the existence of such a device but we're weeks away from CES where we could likely get our first glimpse of what could be the most compelling reason to get into Windows RT. I think it would be awesome to see a tablet with the build and quality we've seen on the recent Lumia devices.
