'Apple One' subscription bundle spotted in Apple Music for Android beta app

Last month, we reported on Apple's rumoured plans to bundle its services into a single subscription. Now, we're getting more clues that confirm this rumour. 9to5Google discovers code in the beta version (version 3.4.0) of the Apple Music app on Android that mentions the name Apple One alongside an internal codename "aristotle," which confirms that Apple Music will be part of the bundle. And that the company has decided to stick with the Apple One name.

Apple clarifies that the Apple One subscription and existing Apple Music subscriptions will not overlap to avoid paying double for the same service. In the code, you can see that you can only manage and renew an Apple One subscription using an iOS, macOS, or tvOS device. Other than that, there aren't any more details spotted within Apple Music. With its appearance inside an Apple app, we can assume we might hear more about these bundles during next week's "Time Flies" event.

Zoom brings two-factor authentication to all users

Zoom is bringing two-factor authentication (2FA) to all its users, which can help stave off security breaches and "zoombombing." It can keep potential attackers away from taking over your account with stolen or recycled credentials since they need to have control of your mobile device, too. You can use 2FA with Zoom's web portal, desktop client, Zoom Room, and mobile app. It supports the time-based one-time password (TOTP), which means it works with apps like Google Authenticator, FreeOTP, and Microsoft Authenticator. It also works with different authentication methods like OAuth, password-based authentication, and SAML.

When you enable 2FA, the video conferencing app will require you to enter a one-time code from a mobile authenticator app, phone call, or SMS. There are slightly different procedures on enabling 2FA, depending on whether you're a business admin or individual user. You can view the detailed guide over at this link.

Apple gives 'indefinite extension' for Sign In with Apple on 'Fortnite'

Epic Games originally announced on September 9 that Fortnite was losing its Sign In with Apple feature on September 11. The said date came, and Epic released an update saying Apple is giving them an "indefinite extension" to use it. The developer still recommends preparing for its removal by signing in with an email address and password instead of relying on Sign In with Apple. The feature is similar to what Google and Facebook offer, where you're allowed to register/sign in to an account or service using your Apple ID. Apple promises it offers greater privacy with options like Hide My Email.

It isn't clear why Apple decided to extend Epic's access to the feature given how their legal fight continues to escalate.
