'Motorola Razr 2' tipped to get a bigger screen

The next-generation Motorola Razr is expected to arrive in September. It's unofficially called the Razr 2, but we don't know much else about it. Display Supply Chain Consultants' (DSCC) CEO Ross Young claims the second-gen Motorola Razr will feature slightly bigger displays. The primary 6.7-inch screen will reportedly be 0.5-inch larger than the existing Razr. And the smaller secondary outer screen will also be larger diagonally, but he didn't say by how much. The existing Razr has a 2.7-inch secondary display.

Other rumoured specs of the Motorola Razr 2 include 5G support courtesy of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 chipset, 8GB of RAM, 256GB of internal storage, Android 10, and a 48-megapixel primary camera + 20-megapixel selfie camera combo.

Apple Card users can still defer June payments without interest if they're affected by COVID-19

Apple is extending its COVID-19 Customer Assistance Program for the Apple Card by another month. For customers who are enrolled in the program, they can defer their June payments without incurring any interest. This the third month that Apple and Goldman Sachs have allowed deferrals because of the COVID-19 pandemic. In an email sent to Apple Card users, the company said, "we understand that the COVID-19 situation poses unique challenges for everyone and some customers may have difficulty making their monthly payments."

You need to be enrolled in the program to avail of this deferral, as well as still being negatively impacted by the pandemic. You can get more information about how to be part of the program through this link.

Apple to reportedly render 2012 MacBook Pro with Retina Display 'obsolete' by June 30

Apple is reportedly planning to end support for the mid-2012 model of the 15-inch MacBook Pro with a Retina Display. According to an internal memo obtained by MacRumorsthe company will be marking this unit "obsolete" worldwide on June 30, 2020. This means that the laptop won't be eligible for official hardware service or repairs, and the company won't stock parts for the device anymore.

The company started rolling back its support for this laptop since 2018 when it became part of Apple's "Vintage" repair program—meaning repairs were reliant on the availability of parts. Of course, you can still take it to third-party repair shops or do-it-yourself (if you're capable). But you might not get official Apple parts. So, if you want to bring your device in for one more repair, now is the time to do so.
