Google Play Games gets a new Social section

Want to find out how your friends are doing with the games they play? If you're both on Android, you can find out through Google Play Games' new Social section. The new section makes it easier to compare your achievements with your friends. 

If you want to enable this feature, head to the Social tab. From there, a couple of pop-ups will surface. One is to let you know that you can add friends so you can play together. And then, the next pop-up shows you your privacy settings and whether you will allow games to access your friends' list. Once you make your selection, you can invite friends through a link or suggestions shown within the Friends tab.

Virtual Disney World on YouTube lets you experience the rides without leaving your living room

You can now go on 360-degree Disney rides on YouTube thanks to the Virtual Disney World YouTube channel (which has been around for a while). With the theme parks temporarily-shuttered because of COVID-19, the YouTube channel gives all of us a way to experience the rides through this immersive technology. It definitely won't be the same experience as being in the parks themselves, but since we need to practice physical distancing, this is a good alternative. Maybe it can even be an excellent way to entertain your kids (or your inner kid at heart) on some days. 

Zoom focuses on fix privacy, safety issues instead of developing new features

Zoom has skyrocketed to popularity with the need for videoconferencing tools in the age of the COVID-19 pandemic. But the app's sudden popularity has also exposed its issues, which included sending data to third parties like Facebook, the lack of end-to-end encryption, and what we now know as "Zoombombing." The latter involves hackers and other malicious personalities hijacking Zoom meetings and sharing violent or pornographic images. 

The company's response to these issues is to freeze development for 90 days so it can focus its resources on "our bigger trust, safety, and privacy issues." Founder and CEO Eric Yuan shared this update on a blog post saying, "We want to do what it takes to maintain your trust."

New iOS 13.4.5 beta lets you share Apple Music songs on Instagram, Facebook Stories

Apple Music looks to be getting a feature similar to what you can do to Spotify. The first beta of iOS and iPadOS 13.4.5 suggests that Apple's streaming music service will let you share songs on Instagram and Facebook Story. When you tap on the Share button and select the social media apps, you'll be able to generate a Story post with the song title, artist, and album art. And if other people with Apple Music apps and subscriptions tap on the song, it would allow them to listen to the song on their devices. Spotify has implemented this feature for a while already, and we expect the Apple Music version to behave the same. The feature appeared in beta, though, so don't expect it to be widely available just yet.
