You can now use emoji reactions on Twitter's Direct Messages

Twitter brings emoji reactions to Direct Messages. It looks similar to Facebook Messenger's emoji reactions. Instead of heart eyes or angry emojis on Facebook, Twitter replaced it with a heart and fire emojis. So, if you'd rather not type out your reactions, you can just use these emojis. Click on the icon next to the message you want to react to, or you can double-tap on the message to see the reactions. If you're using an older version of the app, the reaction will show up as a separate message.

Android's January 2020 security patch starts rolling out to Pixel phones

As expected, the January 2020 security patch for Android has started to arrive for Pixel 2 and newer Pixel phones. Pixel 4 users will be getting the update at the same time as the older Pixels, while the first-generation Pixel will no longer receive updates. Those who didn't get the December patch will get a cumulative January update.

It brings the usual fixes and patches for vulnerabilities that range from "high" to "critical." One of the significant repairs was for a media framework issue that an attacker could exploit by executing arbitrary code through a crafted file. If you want to check out the update yourself, factory and over-the-air (OTA) images are available through the Android Developers website.

Tim Hortons offers coupon deals on its mobile app

Tim Hortons has rolled out exclusive digital coupons on its mobile app. You can store and redeem these special deals from the app. It's available on both Android and iOS. First spotted by users in RedFlagDeals' Tim Hortons thread, there seem to be varied coupons available. And it seems to only be available for those who recently used the app. Dormant accounts or those newly created ones don't seem to get the offer.
