After psychological thriller Gone Girl came out in 2014, director David Fincher put his focus on directing shows and worked with Netflix for programs like House of Cards, Mindhunter, and Love, Death & Robots. This time, he will be directing a feature film for the streaming service based on the life of Citizen Kane screenwriter Herman Mankiewicz. Called Mank, the film will be based on a script written by Fincher’s late father, Jack, who passed away in 2003. Gary Oldman will be playing the titular character.

Specific plot details aren’t known, but the film will follow Mankiewicz’s tumultuous development of the script for Citizen Kane alongside director Orson Welles. Citizen Kane is considered one of the best films of all time, but despite critical acclaim, its script was the only component of the film that won an Oscar. The biopic will be shot in black and white, with production set to start in November. Fincher will produce Mank with Cean Chaffin and Douglas Urbanski. There is no set release date yet.

‘Final Fantasy VII Remake’ for the Xbox One gets leaked on Xbox Germany Facebook page

The first part of the Final Fantasy VII Remake is set to come out on the PlayStation 4 on March 3, 2020. It’s by no means limited to the PS4 platform, but Sony’s gaming console gets first dibs. But now, this leak from Xbox Germany’s Facebook page confirms the game is coming to Microsoft’s platform. The post has since been removed. It did suggest, though, that the game was coming out on the same day as PS4, which can’t happen because of the PS4 exclusivity. But we at least know it’s coming as soon as that exclusivity ends.

Google’s new feature to help you avoid editing important work documents with your private account

You wouldn’t exactly want your co-workers or client to know your personal email accounts, now would you? Especially if they show a side of you that you wouldn’t want them to know. Well, Google is hoping to come to your rescue with a new “account awareness” feature. This new account switching tool is coming to Docs, Slides, and Sheets. It’s still accessible at the top right corner of your account. But instead of showing you the list of accounts you have, you see a small box with the text “You’re currently signed in as [x].” And if you want to see your other accounts, you can click on “Change account” at the bottom of the pop-up.

All G Suite editions will have this feature on by default. Those with the rapid release domains will get the new switcher in 15 days or less, while those with scheduled release domains will get this later this month.
