The CW's 'Arrow' to conclude in 2020 after a shortened 10-episode run

All things must come to an end and the CW's 'Arrow', s show that kicked off various Arrowverse spin-offs bringing DC's heroes to the small screen (with The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl and others stemming from Arrow).

Arrow/ Oliver Queen actor and proud Torontonian Stephen Amell announced yesterday that Arrow is ending its run next year in a shortened 10-episode arc. Nintendo brings virtual reality to the Switch via Labo VR kit

Nintendo has created a makeshift virtual reality kit for the Nintendo Switch using its Labo line of DIY cardboard accessories. As with other Labo sets, you have a few options to choose from. The main kit retails for US$79.99 (around CA$110) and has six cardboard kits you can build: VR goggles, blaster, camera, screen holder, “safety cap,” and an elephant. The basic kit costs less at $39.99 (around $55) but this just comes with goggles and the blaster. You can buy extra accessories (like the elephant) in $20 sets. The kit comes with Labo software, which has games, step-by-step instructions on building these kits, and “garage” mode for when you want to build your own Labo accessories. These new VR kits will be available starting April 12th.

New Alexa feature announces songs before they start playing

This new feature for Amazon Alexa could be either very annoying or very useful. Called Song ID, the virtual assistant will announce the name and artist of whatever song is playing before the song plays. It’s a feature available exclusively to Amazon Music. Amazon added the feature because it thinks it’ll help with music discovery. Perhaps a lot of people have been asking the virtual assistant what song is playing. If you do find the feature annoying, you can ask Alexa to “Turn off Song ID.”
