Nissan releases special edition GT-R to celebrate tennis star Naomi Osaka

Japanese tennis star Naomi Osaka was recently signed as brand ambassador of Nissan. The partnership has brought about a special edition version of the GT-R in Japan. Osaka helped choose the colour combinations of this model. It comes in Midnight Opal, Brilliant White Pearl, and Meteor Flake Black Pearl. The car itself is based on the GT-R's Premium trim, which means it gets the same 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V-6 engine with 565 horsepower and 467 pound-feet of torque. It has a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission and an all-wheel-drive system. It also has LED high-mount stop lights ln the dry carbon rear spoiler and a gold-painted build plate in the engine bay.

Samsung will bring Google Assistant and better audio to its 2019 smart TVs

Expect the upcoming Samsung TVs to be carrying Google’s digital assistant. We’re going to see them as early as CES 2019. The great part about giving these TVs access to Google Assistant is it allows for better connectivity and a wider feature set than say Samsung’s own Bixby assistant. On top of that, audio quality will also get a boost via AI. We might expect to see similar tech to the one we see on the Apple HomePod, which means it can optimize sound tones according to the surrounding environment. This will be coming to the higher-end TVs.

Google Duo hits 1 billion downloads on Google Play

Back in May of this year, Google’s video chat app Duo reached 500 million installations. Six months later the app has reached the billion-download mark. This comes both from people who installed the app as well as those that get the app pre-installed on its phones. Duo launched around the same time as Allo, the latter wasn’t quite as successful as the former. Allo will be shutting down in March 2019.
