Microsoft pulls another Windows 10 update that causes Blue Screen of Death errors

Microsoft’s woes are far from over. This time the Windows 10 November 2018 cumulative update (KB4467682) has been making PCs crash and display the infamous “Blue Screen of Death.” At first, it was reported that the issue was affecting only the Surface Book 2 so Microsoft pulled the update for that device. But now it seems the issue is more widespread. In a new support post, Microsoft writes “After installing this optional update some users have reported getting a blue or black screen with error code, ‘System thread exception not handled.’ As a precaution, we have removed this optional update from Windows Update and Microsoft Update Catalog to protect customers.”

This would’ve probably not been as big an issue if the company hasn’t been plagued by issues for the past few months. The company has had to pull a number of updates in the past few months over different issues. The new problem comes from an optional cumulative update though so it might not affect as many users. The company said it plans to release fixes and improvements for this issue and other issues in the December 2018 security update. Here’s to hoping that isn’t going to cause any problems, too.

‘Narcos: Mexico’ gets second season

While we’ve been seeing the Marvel shows leave Netflix, here’s one franchise that’s expanding. Narcos: Mexico is getting a second season. It was originally meant to be the fourth season of the original Narcos story, but the focus was on the beginnings of the Mexican drug trade in the 1980s. The first season was about the rise of the Guadalajara Cartel. It stars Diego Luna as the drug lord in the making, Félix Gallardo, and Michael Peña as DEA agent Kiki Camarena. The show is produced by Gaumont Television. Eric Newman will return as executive producer and showrunner. He will be joined by executive producers José Padilha, Doug Miro, Carlo Bernard, and Andrés Baiz.

Here’s a better look at the Samsung Galaxy A8s

Yesterday we were talking about the almost all-screen phones we could expect from both Samsung and Huawei. Today we get a better look at the Samsung Galaxy A8s as the phone is getting its necessary clearance from China’s TENAA. It doesn’t reveal new details about the phone that hasn’t already been leaked. But we do get a better look at the front and rear of the phone. You see the 24-megapixel selfie camera hidden inside the tiny cutout on the top left corner of the 6.39-inch Infinity-O display. At the back, we see the rumoured triple camera setup: 24-megapixel main with f/1.7 aperture, 10-megapixel telephoto with f/2.4 aperture, and 5-megapixel depth with f/2.2 aperture. There’s also a fingerprint sensor and a white with deep blue gradient colour scheme. The phone is rumoured to be getting a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor with 6GB of RAM and 3,300mAh battery.
