First trailer for ‘The Lion King’ is here

We’re continuing with the wave of nostalgia with the first look at the remake of the 1994 Disney film The Lion KingThe new take on this classic film is directed by Iron Man director Jon Favreau and is produced by Walt Disney Pictures. Featuring some very photorealistic, computer animated graphics, this movie is also heavy-hitting when it comes to who’s in the cast. Donald Glover plays Simba, Beyonce is Nala, and James Earl Jones will be reprising his role as Mufasa. We hear him narrate in the trailer as it shows the opening moments of the original film where Rafiki presents young Simba to the animals of the Pride Lands. And yes, Circle of Life is playing in the background. This is all we get for now though as the film is set for release on July 19, 2019.

Pokémon and Tamagotchi team up to launch an Eevee Tamagotchi toy

The inner ‘90s kid in me is having a field day with this news. Pokémon and Tamagotchi have partnered to release an Eevee Tamagotchi, which will be coming to Japan on January 26, 2019. From what we know so far, it looks like the gameplay is similar to the traditional Tamagotchi but it’s cooler since you get to take care of your own Pokémon

Based on Tamagotchi’s Japanese websitehow you take care of your Eevee will determine whether it turns into an UmbreonJolteonVaporeon, or its other forms. The toy will be coming in yellow (I love you, Eevee design) or pink (Colorful friends design) and is listed at JPY 2,484, which is roughly $30. Unfortunately, there is no news yet if these Tamagotchis will be making their way out of Japan. We sure hope they do, though.

Instagram redesigns profile interface

You might be noticing some changes to your Instagram profile’s interface. If it seems cleaner, less cluttered to you, then the Facebook-owned social network is testing out the new look with you. You might be seeing features being re-arranged at the top of your profile. There could be changes from things like the icons, buttons, and how you navigate between tabs. Instagram says they’re changing things up to make profiles “easier and cleaner to use.” But you don’t have to worry about how photos and videos show up on your grid, the company isn’t touching that. Instagram will be testing these changes in phases and in different combinations so don’t be too surprised if things change around in the coming weeks. Instagram will keep tweaking as the company learns more from the feedback from its users.

Apple reportedly resumes iPhone X production in wake of weaker XS sales

Faced with weaker sales of its newest iPhone XS and iPhone XR models, Apple has reportedly resumed production of the iPhone X, a product that's been largely discontinued to make way for newer models. According to a report by the Wall Street Journal, Apple is pivoting to iPhone X to comply with OLED display quotas from Samsung who supplies the displays for the iPhones.

Because the iPhone X is supposedly easier to mass produce than the newer models, Apple hopes to continue selling the iPhone X to offset the weaker sales of this year's iPhones the report said. The iPhone X is still plenty of smartphone even if it is a year old. It has all the latest features thanks to iOS 12 and is just the right size for many users.

Apple has reportedly cut production orders for all three of 2018's iPhones, it's iPhone assembler, is allegedly cutting $2.9 billion in costs to mitigate the drop in expected orders.  Apple increased pricing for its flagship models this year, which made some consumers opt for cheaper alternatives like the iPhone 8, which is still being sold.
