Adobe Premiere Rush CC is a desktop and mobile video editing solution for YouTubers

Adobe is flexing its creative muscle with the new Premiere Rush CC application which works on desktops and mobile devices and is geared towards content creators and YouTubers. Consider it the next step up from an application like iMovie on the Mac but which integrates cross-platform, cross device functionality.

Rush CC, which is offered as part of Creative Cloud or which can be accessed individually for a monthly fee, takes the core parts of Adobe’s suite of video and audio editing tools and combines them in a single mobile and desktop experience. That means you get a set of Motion Graphics templates, for example, that were specifically designed to give Rush users easy access to customizable titles.

Marvel’s ‘Iron Fist’ gets axed after two seasons

NetflixAfter its first season gets critically panned and the second seeming to do better, Marvel’s Iron Fist won’t be coming back for a third season to redeem itself. Netflix and Marvel released a joint statement that the show will not be coming back for a third season. The statement said, “Marvel's Iron Fist will not return for a third season on Netflix. Everyone at Marvel Television and Netflix is proud of the series and grateful for all of the hard work from our incredible cast, crew and showrunners. We're thankful to the fans who have watched these two seasons, and for the partnership we've shared on this series. While the series on Netflix has ended, the immortal Iron Fist will live on.”

Iron Fist was part of a five-show deal between Marvel and Netflix that includes shows Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Daredevil, and The Defenders. The Punisher was later added to the lineup as a Daredevil spinoff. The cancellation comes on the heels of Disney planning to launch its direct-to-consumer streaming platform that will compete against Netflix. Disney has already announced its plans to pull all Marvel feature films from the streaming service but will keep the Marvel TV shows on until these run their course.

Real-time Google Translate coming to all Google Assistant-enabled headphones

One of the nifty Google Pixel exclusives is coming to more Android devices. Google updated the support page for the Pixel Buds to say that the real-time translation, which was an exclusive for the Pixel Buds paired with a Google Pixel phone, is coming to all Google Assistant-enabled headphones and Android devices. According to Droid Life, the change doesn’t seem surprising as the LG Tone SE and the Type-C Pixel earbuds that come with the Pixel 3 both have support for the feature.

Right now, there aren’t a lot of Google Assistant-optimized headphones. But if you have the Pixel Buds, Bose Quiet Control 35 II, Sony WI-1000X, Sony WH-1000XM2, Sony WH-1000XM3 and a couple more models by JBL, you can try out to see if it works. Just say “Hey Google, help me speak X” and see if it responds.

Pixel Camera to get to external mic support

Review: Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XLJust because your hanging on to your original Pixel or Pixel 2, doesn’t mean you aren’t getting some new things to play around with—especially when it comes to the phones’ impressive cameras. The Pixel Camera team confirmed it will be adding “plugged-in” external microphones support for the default camera app for all Pixels. The original Pixel will just use the 3.5mm mic in directly. Meanwhile, as Android Central points out, the Pixel 2 and Pixel 3 users might need to use USB microphones that plug in via USB-C to USB-A adapter, like the one included in every Pixel. This option might see a bit cumbersome but if you’ve been waiting for external mic support, you’re finally getting that option when the Pixel 3 officially launches on October 18.
