Telltale Games shuts down most of its studio, ‘The Walking Dead Final Season’ reportedly won’t be finished

Say goodbye to The Wolf Among Us 2, Stranger Things, and even the rest of The Walking Dead Final Season. Telltale Games, the studio behind these titles, have laid off most of its staff. The studio has kept on a skeleton crew of 25 people to “fulfill the company’s obligations to its board and partners.” According to US Gamer, sources say these staff members are going to work on the Minecraft Story Mode project for Netflix. The Walking Dead team was also laid off and the game will not be completed and it’ll end after the second episode launches next week. While the company’s games have been popular, these didn’t translate into sales, forcing Telltale Games to shut down. You can read the full statement from the company under the cut.
