‘Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’ gets witchy in first official teaser photos

If you are more familiar with the more family-friendly Sabrina The Teenage Witch, then this is a Sabrina you don’t quite know. The upcoming Netflix series gives us first official photos of The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, which is also the name of the comic book series the TV show is based on. One of the images show Kiernan Shipka’s Sabrina in a Little Red Riding Hood-esque cape with a stick (or maybe it’s a broom) and bell in hand.

Hundreds of Instagram users report falling prey to similar account hack

A bizarre hack seems to be hitting Instagram users this month with users getting logged out and their personal details changed. The users discover their accounts being signed out, their handles and profile photos changed (often to a Disney or Pixar character), bios deleted, and the accounts are now linked to an .ru email address (a Russian domain). Most of the people Mashable talked to did not have two-factor authentication turned on, but one said he had it enabled but it was disabled and his account was still hacked. Aside from changing personal information, the hackers don’t seem to be posting or removing any photos from the accounts. No one seems to be claiming the hack just yet.

The difficulty for those hacked though is that it’s more difficult to get back into their accounts with the changed personal details. And it seems Instagram’s largely automated process of trying to get back into the accounts prove to be inadequate. Abagail Nowak, one of the victims of the hack describes it as a “maze.” She says, “The maze that Instagram sends you on to get your account back is laughable and leads to broken/dead links and emails from robots which lead nowhere.” Instagram hasn’t responded to requests for comments on the hack but we’ll report back when we hear more.

Hyundai wants you to BuyRight

Hyundai Auto Canada Corp just launched a program to help customers make better decisions when it comes to buying a new car. The BuyRight program offers a comprehensive suite of tools that’ll help make the transition from researching, to buying, to owning a car that much more seamless. One of the core parts of the program is the digital platform Hyundai Express Shopping. This tool lets you complete online and at your own leisure as many of the processes you usually did in-person at dealerships. It’ll let you do everything from build-and-price your ideal Hyundai vehicle with everything from the model, trim, colour, accessories, and warranty. It also provides a firm trade-in value for your existing vehicle and the option to complete an online credit application. If you want to test drive the car at your preferred Hyundai dealership, you can, too.

If you aren’t happy with your purchase, under the BuyRight Program, Hyundai offers a Five Day Car Exchange Commitment policy, meaning you can switch to a different car within five days. Hyundai’s site also hosts an online competitor comparison tool as well as access to third-party vehicle reviews to help you decide on what vehicle you plan to purchase.

Lenovo outs thinnest and lightest ThinkPad

Lenovo has two new ThinkPads set to become staples for power users who need thinner machines. The ThinkPad P1 specifically has been reduced in size by 35 percent. It comes in at 18.4mm thin and weighs in at 3.76 pounds, earning the distinction of being Lenovo’s thinnest and lightest workstation laptop ever. The P1 comes with a high-res 4K 15.6-inch display and is powered by an 8^th-generation Intel Core processor with clock speeds of up to 4.6GHz and NVIDIA’s Quadro P series of graphics cards (maximum P2000). It has 64GB of DDR4 memory and 4TB of storage. The P1 retails for US$1,949 (around CA$2,500).

The ThinkPad P72 is the bigger model and considered a desktop replacement. It has a 17.3-inch screen and comes with up to 6TB worth of storage, up to 128GB of DDR4 RAM, 16GB Intel Optane memory, and NVIDIA’s Quadro graphics of up to P5200. The P72 is built specifically for the financial, gas, and automotive industries. The P72 goes for US$1,799 (around CA$2,300).
