Captain America almost had a cameo in ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp’

Marvel

If one of the early drafts of Ant-Man and the Wasp was going to be followed, we would’ve seen the beloved Captain America show up in the movie. But as the film’s director Peyton Reed explained to RadioTimes.com, they wanted the movie to be a standalone film that’s “in its own world” and so cameos were foregone this time around.

Reed explained that in an earlier draft, Captain America would’ve shown up in a flashback scene that Luis (played by Michael Peña) narrates. He was supposed to recap the events of Captain America: Civil War. He said, “Early on, we had a version where we were going to do a quick version of the tarmac fight from Civil War, with some ridiculous thing where, you know, Captain America has Ant-Man as a baseball and throws him. Because the whole thing is Luis’ version of events, right? We came up with all these ridiculous visuals.” Now, we wish we could’ve seen that. Unfortunately, it wasn’t even shot so it’s not even going to be a bonus clip in the DVD.

Google updates Wear OS to speed up Google Pay, improve appointment design, fix bugs

Google’s latest update for Wear OS offers some useful features for its users. One of the major updates include improving speeds for Google Pay, right down to opening up the app. Another new feature is a new “glanceable design” for appointments and events, which as 9to5Google points out is already something Wear OS does. The update we presume is an improvement on this feature’s user interface, making these reminders easier to read. The last major thing coming with this update is a time zone sync bug fix. Not much has been reported about this but it must be a major enough issue for Google to release a fix for it. This update is now out on Google Play for all users.

Microsoft reveals accessible packaging for Xbox Adaptive Controller

Microsoft unveiled its accessible packaging for the Xbox Adaptive Controller, the first-of-its-kind device designed for gamers with limited mobility. All Xbox Adaptive Controller units will ship with the accessible packaging in September 2018, and pre-orders are available now at Microsoft Store.

Recognizing that reality, Microsoft’s Packaging Design team faced a unique challenge in creating a box for the new Xbox Adaptive Controller, designed to accommodate gamers with limited mobility. The box for the device, which will be available for $99.99 in September through the Microsoft Store, needed to be as accessible as what was inside. It had to enable gamers with limited dexterity, who might be using just one hand or arm, to easily open the box and remove the controller. And it had to be as high-quality and aesthetically appealing as any other Xbox packaging.
