Get a ‘look inside’ Quebec’s busiest airports with Apple Maps

The latest update to Apple Maps is giving you more detailed maps to two of Quebec’s busiest airports: Montréal–Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport (YUL) and Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport (YQB). The update will let you see things like boarding gates, security checkpoints, check-in desks, baggage claim carousels, and more.  You can also check out the shops, restaurants, or restrooms inside the airport, ask Siri to find something nearby, find your location in real time with indoor positioning, and easily toggle between floors. Apple Maps already offers a “look inside” Toronto Pearson, Edmonton, and Vancouver International airports. You can check out all the other Maps features over here.

Pro Tip: Use Firefox to narrate website content to you

Voice is increasingly becoming a viable interface with voice assistants and speech synthesis improving with each generation. A lot of users will avoid reading long stories but they will watch a video and it is quite likely they will listen to a podcast. If you are a Firefox browser user, you can tap on the Reader Mode which strips formatting and focuses on text and some images. On the left-hand side of this mode is an option to invoke a narrator that will read the contents of the website to you.

Even if you're a content creator, it helps to try and 'hear' your posts to see if they are long winded. This also comes in handy if you're wearing headphones and are tired of reading (or are on your phone simultaneously). The voice and technology is quite good and a great option which should be on every browser.

‘Fortnite’ rumoured to be coming to the Nintendo Switch

It might not be wise to rely on 4chan for updates but Kotaku seems to think the leaked document discovered on the forum might be reliable enough. Rumour has it that Epic Games will be bringing Fortnite to the Nintendo Switch An anonymous source privy to Epic Games’ plans also confirmed with the site that the game will be coming to the platform.

The leaked document showed part of E3 showroom planning and it featured marketing materials for games like Fortnite, Paladins, Dragon Ball FighterZ, FIFA, Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate, as well as unannounced games like Killer Queen Black and Overcooked 2. It wouldn’t come as much of a surprise if the game does hit the platform, considering its popularity. Epic Games doesn’t have a comment yet on the report.

Bethesda releases first trailer for new ‘Fallout 76’ game

We don’t know much about the upcoming Fallout game but we get to see a quick glimpse of it has Bethesda just released the first trailer for the new title. Calling it Fallout 76, the game seems to allude to players most likely being inhabitants of Vault 76, which has been mentioned in both Fallout 3 and Fallout 4. According to Fallout lore, this vault was meant to open 20 years after the nuclear war, which meant it allowed for a far less civilized setting than the ones you see in the previous games where the population had more time to reconstruct human civilization. This means we’re getting a different feel to the game. As the narrator says, “When the fighting is stopped, and the fallout has settled, you must rebuild.”

One other thing that will be different, but this is unconfirmed, that the game will be an online survival role-playing game in the same vein of DayZ or Rust. So, we might not get the typical single player RPG experience this time around. Whether this is true or not, we’ll get to hear more at E3 coming this month.
