LG V35 ThinQ gets official, basically the G7 ThinQ in the V30’s body

LG updates its V series line with a new ThinQ-branded model. We welcome the V35 ThinQ, which is basically the G7 ThinQ in the shell of the V30. The big different in terms of its specs are screen, battery capacity, and RAM. Plus, it’s $150 more than the G7 in the US. AT&T will be selling the V35 ThinQ for US$900 with preorders starting on Friday and will be available in stores in the US on June 8th.

The V35 gets a no-notch 6-inch 18:9 Quad HD+ OLED display, 6GB of RAM, and 3,300mAh battery. Otherwise it shares the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, 64GB internal storage with microSD expansion, Android 8.0 Oreo, dual rear 16-megapixel setup with one super wide angle lens (f/1.9 aperture, 107-degree field of view) and a standard lens (f/1.6 aperture, 71-degree field of view), and an 8-megapixel wide-angle front shooter with f/1.9 aperture and 80-degree field of view.

Intel launches artificial intelligence challenge for the Olympic Games.

Intel wants AI to enhance the Olympic Games. If you had the opportunity to use artificial intelligence to help improve one aspect of the Olympic Games, what would you suggest? Would you focus on the spectator experience? Or the athletes themselves? Maybe something else entirely? Now's your chance to make a difference.

The AI community has three weeks to submit ideas for enhancing the Olympic experience with AI. Developers can consider how AI could transform the fan and athlete experience, in addition to business applications – from operations and logistics, to the viewing experience, to improving competition. Developers have the opportunity to win a $10,000 prize purse for their ideas.

Full details can be found below, and a link to submit ideas can be found here.

Jurassic World Alive game brings dinosaurs to AR

Think of it as Pokemon Go except that instead of fluffy cartoonish monsters the stars of the experience are dinosaurs. Jurassic World Alive recreates the thrill and excitement of dealing with escaped (and highly evolved) dinosaurs thrashing around in the world around you.

The objective of the game is to hunt down dinosaurs in order to extract their DNA, bringing players face to face with these behemoths. The graphics are decent considering this is designed for smartphones and tablets.

We might not see Rosario Dawson in Marvel TV universe soon

For followers of the MCU x Netflix Marvel shows, you know how instrumental Rosario Dawson’s character Claire Temple has been for this universe. She has been described as the glue that’s kept the different vigilantes turned superheroes in the Marvel TV universe. We get to see her again with Luke Cage premieres next month (on June 22, to be exact) but it looks like Dawson is ready to call it quits. She told Screen Geek, “Yeah, its [sic] pretty wild actually. I don’t know if I’ll be back after this, to be honest, but it’s been an amazing few years. I’ve been on a lot of different shows. I mean, I don’t know if maybe they do a third season of Luke Cage potentially, or maybe if they figure out some kind of way for me to be on The Punisher—just so I can feel like I’ve done every show. But it’s been like, my daughter is high school, so I kinda wanna’ not be 3000 miles away for work.”

We won’t fault her for wanting to take a break, especially after appearing on most of the Netflix Marvel shows. And perhaps with The Defenders finally in contact with each other, there would be less need for Claire to be around. It’ll give the actress time for her family. Let’s just hope Marvel doesn’t pull an Infinity War on us and do anything too drastic.
