Here’s a new look at ‘Ant-Man and The Wasp’

If you were thinking you’d catch a glimpse of what happened post-Avengers: Infinity War, we’re sorry to disappoint you but Marvel’s next movie Ant-Man and the Wasp is set before the big throw down with Thanos. Our last sighting of Scott Lang a.k.a. Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) was when he went home to be with his family instead of teaming up with Captain America. But now Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) and his daughter Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) need him back in the suit. But this time, he gets Hope in on the action as Wasp, Ant-Man’s long-time superhero partner in the comics. We get to see more high jinks ensue in both big and small ways in the new two-minute trailer. Ant-Man and the Wasp is set to hit theatres on July 6.

New Philips Hue Labs formulas help parents with young children

Philips Hue Labs have just released some new formulas or functionalities to help parents take care of their babies and toddlers. There are four different formulas you can try out. One is for nursery lights, which is a special light that can be used in the middle of the night when you’re breast feeding or changing your baby’s diapers. When this is activated, it’ll have the light start in a “relaxing dimmed scene” that will then transition into “nightlight scene” before it completely turns off automatically. You can choose how long these two scenes last. Another is using the Philips Hue motion sensor to measure temperature. You can set two alerting scenes to let you know if the temperature in your baby’s room is above or below the thresholds.

The two other formulas are designed more for toddlers. One is using the motion sensor to alert you if your kid gets out of bed in the middle of the night. You can choose how long this alerting scene stays on before it reverts to its previous state and how long it should be disabled so you can put them back to bed without triggering the alert again. Last formula is like a traffic light of sorts for kids. You can set two scenes that will teach your toddler whether it’s still time to stay in bed or when they’re allowed to get up and play.

iPhone X sales defy Wall Street projections as Apple posts $61.1 billion quarterly revenue

By Gadjo Cardenas Sevilla

Apple held its second quarter earnings call yesterday and dispelled any notions that the iPhone, it's most profitable product line, is slowing down in sales. The big surprise was that it was the iPhone X, which is the company's most innovative product and also its most expensive, was the bestseller for the quarter.

“We’re thrilled to report our best March quarter ever, with strong revenue growth in iPhone, Services and Wearables,” said CEO Tim Cook. “Customers chose iPhone X more than any other iPhone each week in the March quarter, just as they did following its launch in the December quarter. We also grew revenue in all of our geographic segments, with over 20% growth in Greater China and Japan.”
