Spotify might be launching an in-car 4G music streamer

Spotify has long been rumoured to be entering the hardware business with job listings posted in the past few months suggesting this was coming soon. Now, a premature promo showing up to some of its users show the company might be launching an in-car music streamer. The ad shows a circular control that doubles as a display with navigation and shuffle buttons to the side. Some users were told it would get 4G connectivity and others saw Amazon Alexa integration. Its price would be included in the monthly subscription fee with some users seeing that it would cost $12.99 USD a month, while others saw $14.99. It had a pre-order button, too. But this resulted in an error page.

The streaming service hasn’t commented about the post. But one moderator, who isn’t a Spotify employee, commented on the company’s official forum that this was simply a test. The company has an upcoming event in New York City on April 24th. We should hear more then.

OnePlus CEO spills beans on OnePlus 6’s specs

Writing about the upcoming OnePlus 6, CEO Pete Lau shares what the company wants to create with each new device

OnePlus isn’t know from keeping its secrets too close to its chest. With the OnePlus 5T off the market, at least in this part of the world, OnePlus’s CEO Pete Lau is ready to talk about what’s coming next (a.k.a. the OnePlus 6). Lau took to the company’s forums to discuss what customers can expect from the OnePlus 6. What we know now is that it’s going to run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, 8GB of RAM, and up to 256GB internal storage. These specs aren’t that surprising as we expect the best from the flagships we come across now. We’re probably just a few weeks away from the launch of this new phone, especially with the leaked teaser of a possible Avengers tie-up.

Google Chrome on the desktop will get an easier way to access emojis

While it’s easy to access emojis to use for Chrome on mobile, the case isn’t the same for desktop. But this will change soon. The latest Canary version of Chrome will let you access Chrome emojis by simply right-clicking on the browser to pull up a menu with the emojis you want to use. It is already possible to use emojis on Chrome right now but there’s an extra hurdle for both Mac and Windows users to get to them.

For Mac users, it’s easier. Just hold Control + Command + Space to launch the emoji selector. Meanwhile, Windows users need to click on the keyboard icon in the task manager and look for the emoji button there. Unfortunately, there is no keyboard shortcut to access the emojis on Windows. This feature, if you’re waiting for it, will likely come to the stable version of Chrome in the coming weeks.
