Insta360's new One camera brings 360' video capture to the next level

Insta360's already made a name for itself as the maker of standalone and smartphone-mounted 360' cameras and apps. Having used the Insta360 nano on an iPhone 7, I found the soiution to be more instantaneous and elegant than many more expesive 360' cameras I had tried.

Insta360's latest product, the One, brings another level of creative capture. Mountable on a tripod or using a smartphone, the Insta360 One completely eliminates the tripod using software stitching, which gives the impression that it is floating. It also has various object tracking and focus technologies which make it one of the smartest cameras around. Insta360 One can also be attached to a string and swung around while filming, creating an effect similar to 'bullet time,' from The Matrix movies.

Apple Maps Transit coming to Edmonton, Ottawa and Quebec City

Apple Maps Transit information is available starting today to users in Edmonton, Ottawa and Quebec City.

Transit in Apple Maps launches in these three cities with local signage that carefully mimics their local public transit branding, so directions have the same icons as you’ll see on the bus or train.

In Edmonton, residents using Apple Maps can now enjoy the addition of Edmonton Transit Service; in Ottawa, the OC Ospo and in Quebec City the RTC.

Fitbit releases Ionic smartwatch, Flyer headphones and new Aria scale

Fitbit is the leading fitness wearables maker and has toyed with the idea of creating a smartwatch. Today, the company, which bought Pebble earlier this year, comes through with the new Fitbit Ionic smartwatch which runs apps, offers various watchfaces, personalized guidance and also introduces Fitbit Pay as a mobile payments solution.

Fitbit has also launched the Fitbit Flyer, sweatproof and fitness-focused wireless headphones witha six hour playing time. A new version of their Aria smart scale and an updated premium guidance and coaching software.
